PROBLEMS
There is no problem with our teamwork because each of us can get along really well. But there is some problem about our plans. At first we planned to finish everything by Friday April 23, 2010. Unfortunately, we can’t find any card reader to transfer the video files from the camera to computer. So, we have a change of plan. This might delayed our works a bit, but we are sure we will finish it in time.

Misuse of Information Technology

The main misuses of technology are related to culture and education. Some people are not cultured to appropriately use technology as a tool. Most of them use it to find an easy solution to the problem or as a trend. Others are not educated to use technology correctly.

Since technology offers a variety of services, it can harm the users in many ways. Now a day, people are more concerned about the misuse and abuse of technology. Internet had led to a threat to people, as well as allowing the plagiarism and piracy.

Educational institutions are worried about student’s misuses of technology. Children learn to play online games and surfs on non suitable web sites. They also start using mobile phones at an early age. These children may not know how to use technology properly. They might use the phone’s functions, such as camera, to damage other people’s reputations.

Because of all these, some people think that technology is harmful and it should be responsible for the bad society. However, people have to understand that what is happening in our today’s society is the result of technology misuse. As a tool, it does not do anything to threaten the society, but it’s the misuse of it that intimidate our society.

If someone is to be responsible for what technology has done to the society, then it should be human beings themselves. The guilt is on the user of technology, not the technology itself.

However, the screen is smaller than those of 3Gs, but surely of a higher solution. The whole model is more squared off and about 3 grams heavier. IT Experience

Local celebrities often bring latest fashion trend with what they wear in movies, TV shows, awards nights, and more. It is often called the “showbiz craze”. And last year until today, the latest showbiz craze is the Blackberry smart phone.

I am one of the people who want to have a Blackberry. Not because I wanted to be in trend, but because it would make my life more convenient.

Blackberry Messenger had make my life easier since it connects me to my friend twenty-four-seven. Most of my friends use Blackberry and I am always updated about their lives. Even if I have to pay a monthly fee, but I think it’s worth enough.

Other features in Blackberry are Facebook and e-mail retrieval and sending. I can check my e-mail whenever I wanted. I’m always notified about the news. When doing project with my friends, I know whether who has sent me the work and who has not. By this, I can check on them at all times and complete my works on time.

With internet browser, I can search for information all the time. Whatever information I have to clarify, I can do it as I like. I do not have to find a computer and look for more information. It seems like I have Google in my hand and all the information is right in front of me.

For me, Blackberry fits just right with my lifestyle. The features, such as camera and video recording, the audio system, the network connection, and the design make Blackberry so perfect. I am not crazy about Blackberry, but I think it would be a great choice for people who consider buying a smart phone at this moment.

Green Computing POSTER

As most of you may know, there is a lot of interest in environmental responsibility these days. Additionally, there has been a growing area of discussion on the subject of "green computing." But what exactly is green computing? Mostly, it's the practice of using computing resources efficiently as well as reduced resource consumption and proper disposal of electronic waste.

One of the main things that we can do is to reduce the use of paper. Instead of writing letters, we can use paperless method of communication, such as e-mail, text messages, or make phone calls. And also it would be great, if people change from reading newspaper to watching the news from television or from the internet. This would reduce a large amount of paper usage. Another way might have to deal with the printed advertisements or catalogues. Now a day, most brands have their own websites. These companies can help the world by changing from printed ads to online advertisements and offer online catalogues for their products.

As paper usage decreases, delivery services also decreases. This means that there will be less air pollution since transportation becomes unnecessary to deliver information to people. The burning of gasoline decreases and this would be such a great advantage to the environment.

So now, you can see that information technology, or IT, would reduce the amount of pollution generated, which is the main cause global warming.

Presently, global warming is becoming more and more severe than anyone can imagine. It is reducing the amount of pack ice in the Arctic, which is the only home for the polar bears. Not only the Arctic that’s affected by global warming, but the whole world is affected. And since we, human beings, are the smartest creature living, let’s use our knowledge about technology and work together to save our home, EARTH.

Our poster is located in front of SM415.
